Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about buying and selling on Dande.

General

What is Dande? expand_more
Dande is a reverse marketplace where Buyers post the items they want to buy, and Sellers respond by offering those exact items. Instead of browsing listings, you describe what you want and sellers come to you.
Are there any listed items on the website that are for sale? expand_more
No. Dande only posts items that users want to buy. Nothing on the site is listed for sale in the traditional sense.
What geographic areas does Dande operate in? expand_more
Currently Dande is only operating in the United States.
What does it cost to join? expand_more
Dande is free to join.

Buying

What does it cost to buy items? expand_more
It just costs the price that you and the seller agree upon. There are no extra fees charged to buyers.
Do you offer any guarantees on items sold? expand_more
Since we are not the seller, nor do we represent the seller, we cannot offer guarantees on items. However, if an item is not as described, options such as refunds are available through Stripe. Buyers are encouraged to ask the seller questions before purchasing.
The seller did not send me the purchased item. What are my options? expand_more
It depends on whether the seller can prove by tracking number that a package was sent and delivered to you. Based on that information, Stripe can help you resolve the issue.

Selling

What does it cost to sell items? expand_more
The current fees are set at 10% commission plus Stripe's processing fee of 2.9% plus $0.30. The total amount is deducted from the buyer's payment.
What if I don't have a Stripe account? expand_more
It is not possible to sell on our platform without a Stripe account. Using Stripe is part of the process we use to reduce fraud by verifying seller information.

Payments

Do you store financial information such as credit card numbers? expand_more
No. We do not store any financial information, nor do we handle payment processing directly. All payments are handled securely through Stripe.

Disputes

How are disputes handled? expand_more
Per our user terms, Dande is not responsible for disputes, but we do try to help. A dispute should begin with the buyer and seller first trying to reach an agreement. If an agreement cannot be reached, the next step is for Stripe to help settle the dispute with a satisfactory resolution.

Company

Who runs Dande? expand_more
Dande is currently run by LivestockCity, Inc.
